Main House

Ground Floor:  The main sitting area is in the base of the windmill. At one end, there is a guest bedroom/bathroom addition on one side and the kitchen wing through a beautiful stone arch on the other side.  The kitchen/dining area features a large central oval counter with breakfast bar and Jenn-Air gas cooktop; GE Profile appliances. Indoor dining area features a large dining table, which seats 10 comfortably. Outside, there is a teak table and chairs for 10 on a covered patio with a built-in Vermont Castings gas grill.

Middle Floor: A floating staircase connects to the middle floor of the mill, featuring an additional sitting room with built-in curved desk and beautiful mahogany floor. It connects with a spacious master bedroom suite with a traditional four-poster king-size bed; large dressing area with built-in closets and bathroom with shower; ceiling fan. Master bedroom has a private verandah with views of the Caribbean Sea.

Top Floor:  Floating staircase continues to the top floor with superb views in four directions, the Caribbean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, Nevis Peak and Saddle Hill. Area is set up as a large, circular private office with built-in curved desk and a mahogany floor.


Dunbar Cottage has two separate living spaces, each with its own bedroom and kitchen. The cottage is reached from the main house by a stone pathway through the historic ruins.

Upstairs: The upstairs apartment features a bedroom with king-size four- poster bed and private verandah with views of the Caribbean Sea.  Day bed and trundle bed in living room could accommodate an adult or children. The apartment includes a large living room with kitchen; bathroom with shower.

Downstairs: The downstairs apartment in the cottage offers additional guest room with double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower, living room and full kitchen.

Pool: 47-foot lap or water aerobic pool with two lanes, one 4.5-foot deep and one 6-foot deep is integrated into the old stone ruins. The pool has a saltwater system, solar heating and underwater lights. The stone pool deck overlooks the Caribbean Sea.

Garden: The automatic sliding gate opens onto a stunning zoysia grass covered driveway lined with beautiful foxtail palms.  Small secluded areas in the garden are perfect for relaxing.

Amenities: Full laundry at main house; ceiling fans throughout; high-speed Internet; landline phone; solar hot water in main house. Orchard features mango, avocados, citrus, coffee, and pomegranate trees.

Location: Southwest portion of Nevis facing the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic. A walk or short drive to the Hermitage Plantation Inn for dining. Just minutes from dining at Montpelier Plantation and Golden Rock Hotel. About a 10-minute drive to Windward Beach; 15 minutes from Nisbet Beach; few minutes drive to Best Buy Supermarket in Gingerland. Perfect location on the Upper Round Road for hiking in the hills around Nevis and exploring the local back roads.
